Do 14 Year Old Jobs Really Exist?

More and more teenagers ask this question. They are on the look-out for jobs hiring at 14 so that they will have financial independence from their parents.

Once they get these jobs, then they don't have to rely on their parents for pocket money.
Some are even pushing their limits and saving enough so that they can spend for their own college education.

That is a very responsible action of a teenager.
So there are jobs hiring at 14. In fact, some communities encourage teenagers to start really young with work, as long as they are working in a safe environment.
The establishments that hire minors, such as baseball parks, amusement parks, movie theaters, restaurants, retail stores, gasoline stations, to name a few, require the teenagers to have a work permit in order for them to work within the premises. Most of the time, these jobs ask the teenagers to report to work after school or during the weekends. The pay may be low but the teenagers have fun doing these.

Other jobs hiring at 14 include babysitting, bagging or stocking job at groceries, and working for fast food chains such as McDonalds and Burger King.

If they do not prefer working for fast food chains, then they can opt for motels or daycare.
They can also provide their own lawn services to residences in need of moving.

Sometimes, they don't have to wait for jobs hiring at 14 to come up. What they can do instead is to ask themselves what services they can provide to their neighbors. If they can do this, then they can ask their neighbors if they want this particular kind of service. They can get paid doing a skill of theirs.
