Helping out at home
It's important when you live in a house with other people that you contribute to making it a comfortable place to be.
The way to do this is to make sure you do your fair share of helping out. There are many things to do in the home.
Whether mum or dad works or if mum stays at home they are not our slaves. We cannot order them around and expect them to do everything for us. We have to start taking responsibility for ourselves. We can do this by keeping our rooms tidy and picking up after ourselves.
There are many ways you can help out such as setting the table, or clearing the table, stacking or unstacking the dishwasher, taking out the rubbish, and recycling out, washing out the bins, washing and vacuuming the car, vacuuming, dusting, folding washing, helping with the grocery shopping, putting the groceries away, helping cook dinner, washing and drying up.
There are many more ways to help but it's best to ask mum or dad what they would like you to do first.
If you're not sure how to do it then mum or dad can show you or do it with you until you can do these things on your own.
When you start to take on more responsibilities you will start to gain more privileges as well as more respect from your parents and yourself for not just thinking that you are the only one that matters in this world.
Everybody has needs that need to be met. If mum and dad drive you all over the place and cook, clean, wash, pay for all the bills then at least you can do is give them a hand.
They will really appreciate it and feel very loved.
Don't wait to be asked to do something offer.
And don't just do something when you want something.
Help out, out of love and respect for your family.
